Barcelona as a city was founded somewhere in the 3rd century BCE. Over more than two thousand years, the city has undergone countless upheavals and changes, with each period - from the Roman conquest, through Christian rule, and up to the Muslim conquest, leaving its mark on the city.
During the tour of Barcelona's Old City, we will pass through key historical and architectural landmarks: the Gothic Quarter, which has been preserved in its medieval form, the city's cathedral, the Jewish Quarter, and the ancient shipyard district. Along the way, we will pass by breathtaking buildings and palaces, and visit the city's hidden gems and magical corners.

The World of Gaudí
Antoni Gaudí is considered one of the most important and original architects in the modern world.
His sculptural style and imaginative creativity gave birth to stunning, one-of-a-kind buildings and palaces, which we will explore during this tour.
We will tour along Passeig de Gràcia (Barcelona's version of the Champs-Élysées), where Gaudí's most notable buildings are located: the colorful Casa Batlló, where we will learn about his sources of inspiration and how he integrated light as a key element in his designs, and the monumental Casa Milà, which is still used as a residential building today.
Throughout the tour, we will learn about Gaudí’s close connection to Christianity and how it influenced his style. We will pass by other works and sculptures scattered in the Eixample neighborhood (did you know he even designed the sidewalks?), we will get to know the Modernista movement that dominated Barcelona at the time, and learn about other buildings designed by his fellow architects.
During the tour you can choose to either visit the inside of the Sagrada Família or enter Casa Batlló, one of the most famous buildings in Barcelona.

The charm of gracia
Gràcia is considered the trendiest and most contemporary neighborhood in Barcelona. Colorful and cosmopolitan, it is a vibrant blend of young and older residents, artists and families who create the magical atmosphere of the area.
Gràcia was once an independent village on the outskirts of Barcelona. The grand Passeig de Gràcia that we see today replaced a dirt path that once connected the city of Barcelona to Gràcia. Merchants would travel back and forth daily by foot or carriage, and on weekends, villagers would head to the big city for leisure.
Even today, Gràcia has preserved its village-like character. Narrow streets lead to picturesque squares and old workshops, bakeries, and dairies still operate as family businesses, passing down their local traditions from generation to generation.
During the tour, we will get to know the Gràcia neighborhood, learn about its lifestyle, visit beautiful and hidden spots, and of course taste pastries, cheeses, unique oils, and other wonderful local products. We will also have the opportunity to visit Gaudí’s Casa Vicens, which has finally opened after many years of restoration. This was the first house Gaudí designed, a stunning creation filled with color, textures, and imagination.
